NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JEFFERSON, IOWA, AND OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO GRANT AN ELECTRIC LINE EASEMENT AND GAS REGULATOR STATION EASEMENT TO ALLIANT ENERGY

The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Iowa, will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting at the Municipal Center in Jefferson, Iowa, on July 28, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., on the proposal to grant perpetual utility easements, described in further detail below, which shall run with the properties listed below in consideration of the sum of $1.00 and other valuable consideration:
1. Electric Line Easement on property legally described as Lots 249, 250, 251, and 252 in Block 33 of the Original Town of Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa;
2. Gas Regulator Station Easement on property legally described as Lots 249 and 250 in Block 33 of the Original Town of Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa.
All local residents who appear at said meeting shall be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposals. At the meeting, or any adjournment thereof, the City Council of Jefferson will adopt ordinances and resolutions, as necessary, determining whether or not to proceed with the proposals.
This notice is given by order of the City Council on July 14, 2026.
