NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JEFFERSON, IOWA, AND
OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO CHANGE ZONING CLASSIFICATION FOR PROPERTY AT 203, 205, 207, 300, & 306 EAST PERRY STREET; 703 NORTH WILSON AVENUE; AND OUTLOT 2 OF MAPLEWOOD ADDITION

The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Iowa, will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting at the Municipal Center in Jefferson, Iowa, on July 11, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., on the proposal to amend the zoning regulations of the City of Jefferson by changing the zoning classification from Residential Single-Family – 6 (RS-6) to Light Industrial (LI) for property legally described as the East Half and the East 80’ of the West Half of Block 14 all North of the railroad right of way, and Block 10, all in Gray’s Addition; Lot 6 of Block 2 in Blair’s Addition; and Outlot 2 of Maplewood Addition; all located in Jefferson, Greene County, Iowa; and locally known as 203, 205, 207, 300, & 306 East Perry Street, 703 North Wilson Avenue, and Outlot 2 Maplewood Addition.
All local residents who appear at said meeting shall be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposals. At the meeting, or any adjournment thereof, the City Council of Jefferson will adopt ordinances and resolutions, as necessary, determining whether or not to proceed with the proposals.
