NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JEFFERSON, IOWA, AND
OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO GRANT A SOLAR POWER GENERATION EASEMENT TO RED LION JEFFERSON SOLAR, LLC

The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Iowa, will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting at the Municipal Center in Jefferson, Iowa, on January 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., on the proposal to grant a solar power generation easement to Red Lion Jefferson Solar, LLC which shall run with the properties listed below in consideration of the sum of $1.00 and other valuable consideration:

1. 220 N. Chestnut St., Jefferson, IA (City Hall);
2. 204 W. Harrison St., Jefferson, IA (Recreation Center);
3. 200 W. Lincoln Way, Jefferson, IA (Library);
4. 720 S. Maple St., Jefferson, IA (Swimming Pool);
5. 305 E. Head St., Jefferson, IA (Street Shop and Water Plant);
6. 1700 Doreen Wilbur Dr., Jefferson, IA (Animal Shelter);
7. 900 Block of North Wilson Ave., Jefferson, IA (Bare Ground);
8. East Highway 30 south of the intersection with Orchard Ave. (Pump Station); and
9. 501 Greenwood Dr., Jefferson, IA (Municipal Golf Course)

All local residents who appear at said meeting shall be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposals. At the meeting, or any adjournment thereof, the City Council of Jefferson will adopt ordinances and resolutions, as necessary, determining whether or not to proceed with the proposals.
