NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JEFFERSON, IOWA, AND
OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO GRANT A SOLAR POWER GENERATION EASEMENT TO RED LION JEFFERSON SOLAR, LLC
The City Council of the City of Jefferson, Iowa, will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting at the Municipal Center in Jefferson, Iowa, on August 25, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., on the proposal to grant a solar power generation easement to Red Lion Jefferson Solar, LLC which shall run with the properties listed below in consideration of the sum of $1.00 and other valuable consideration:
1. South Sixty-nine (69) feet of Lot Two Hundred Forty (240), and the North Sixty-four (64) feet of Lots Two Hundred Forty-nine (249) and Two Hundred Fifty (250), all in Block Thirty-three (33) in the Original Town of Jefferson, Iowa;
2. Lot Two Hundred Fifty (250) in Block Thirty-three (33) in the Original Town of Jefferson, EXCEPT the North Sixty-four (64) feet thereof; and
3. The South Sixty-five (65) Feet of the East Sixty-five (65) feet of a 3.31 acre parcel referred to as Parcel No. 1105351023
All local residents who appear at said meeting shall be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the proposals. At the meeting, or any adjournment thereof, the City Council of Jefferson will adopt ordinances and resolutions, as necessary, determining whether or not to proceed with the proposals.
